 AB New Kiriti Kirimahiga

Grown in the highlands of Murang’a and meticulously processed, this coffee offers a delightful currants and berry flavours, a soft floral note and a sweet plum finish. Crisp and expressive, it captures the essence and clarity of Kenya’s highlands.

This coffee originates from the rich volcanic soils of Murang’a County, nestled on the slopes of the Aberdare Range in central Kenya. It’s produced at the Kirimahiga washing station, also known as a factory, which is part of the New Kiriti Farmers Cooperative Society. This cooperative includes hundreds of smallholder farmers who collectively manage less than a hectare of land. Each farmer handpicks ripe cherries and delivers them to the station.

The coffee undergoes traditional Kenyan washed processing, which involves double fermentation thorough washing and slow drying on raised beds. This method is renowned for producing coffees with exceptional clarity vibrant acidity and a distinct fruit-forward flavour.
