 Nensebo Refisa Organic

The many of our fresh crops from Ethiopia, this is a high-quality washed coffee sourced from the area around West Arsi, Ethiopia, near the Bale Mountain forest. Grown at altitudes between 1900–2100 masl, this lot represents a classic Ethiopian profile that is tasting clean and vibrant, with flavours of citrus, peach tea, florals like jasmine. The coffee is processed at the Refisa Washing Station, which works with about 389 smallholder farmers cultivating heirloom varieties such as Welisho and Kurume.

The processing is meticulous: cherries are hand-sorted, pulped using a traditional Agaarde Discpulper, and then graded by density. After fermentation of up to 72 hours, the beans are washed, soaked in clean water, and dried over 14 days in thin layers, followed by careful hand-sorting. This careful handling ensures a consistent, high-quality product.
