El Salvador Las Cascadas

Melvin is a young, small producer who, passionate about coffee. In 2012, due to a lack of opportunities and insecurity, he made the decision to migrate to the United States illegally, hoping to one day realize his dream of owning his own farm. Thus, Finca La Cascada was born as a project that began in 2016 with the purchase of a property. Then, in 2017, his family started cultivating specialty coffee, focusing on the Pacamara variety. My father initiated the project, supporting him while he was abroad. Later, in 2022, after nine years away, Melvin returned to El Salvador to take possession of the farm and manage the project, committed to producing high-quality coffee.

His family began working the land with the Pacamara variety in 2017 after seeing the excellent results of the producers in the area. Today he has the entire area of his farm cultivated with the Pacamara variety. He has spent a lot of time learning and training in processing so today and he himself processes his coffee and dries it in the 20 raised beds he already has on the same farm. The name of the farm is Las Cascadas due to the amazing waterfalls that are found in it.

This is the 2nd time that we have worked with Melvin and is truly very excited to be able to share the fruits of his labour with our customers. You will find a truly fruit forward Pacamara in the cup, with good sweetness and structure that lets you enjoy from hot to cold.
