Colombia La Germania

This is another familiar farm that we have been sourcing since 2021 from Faudel Montenegro. His farm is only 1.2 hectares in size but his coffee constantly shines on the cupping table year after year. He grows a few varieties including variedad Colombia and Yellow Bourbon. His techniques are also typical of many small Colombian small producers where they harvest the cherries based on ripeness, pulp using a small mechanical depulping machine before fermenting in tanks for 24-36hrs depending on weather conditions. The coffees are subsequently washed thrice with clean water before drying on parabolic dryers.

We enjoyed the lighter shades of fruit tones that reminded us of the colour yellow. Look out for notes of muscat grapes, yellow peach and floral undertones of smelling a yellow flower. There's also a lingering sweetness like eating in a snow pear.
