 Nossa Senhora Aparecida

This is the 2nd year that we have bought from Celso Minussi. Celso was one of the very first partners of FAFCoffees. Since the beginning, he has been an inspiring presence within the network of producers at FAF. Full of energy and dedication, Celso takes care of his coffee plants every single day, paying attention to every detail and following each stage of the process closely. His passion for coffee translates into remarkable productivity while maintaining exceptional quality in every lot.

On his farm, diversity stands out. Different Arabica varieties grow side by side, a reflection of Celso’s curiosity and experimental spirit. He enjoys testing new cultivars and exploring less common varieties in the region, always learning from each harvest. Among them, Bourbon has a special place in his heart — a variety he admires for its distinctive sweetness and aromatic complexity. But Celso’s passion goes far beyond coffee production. He has a deep respect for the land and the natural resources that sustain his work. One of his greatest sources of pride is the protection of the water springs found on his property. He plants trees and shrubs to safeguard these vital sources, allowing native vegetation to thrive and creating a balanced, living ecosystem.

We featured a Arara variety last year and this year we were captivated by how this Yellow Bourbon turned up on the cupping table. This coffee is a good example of how we feel that we should never stereotype coffees from any origins, just like this coffee which is tasting very fruity, in contrasts to what many might assume a coffee from Brazil to taste like. This is also our featured coffee for our March's filter subscription program. You can check out the video on our IG.
