On 1 May 2024, together with our neighbours in Everton Park for our community fundraiser, in line with our 12th anniversary. Partnering with charity: water, we successfully pledged a total sum of US$9000 in order to build a piped system for a community in Madagascar to access clean and safe water. We recently received the first progress report and are thrilled to share the updates with you.
The project commenced last July when our funds were sent to our local partners. For the next six months, they assessed the conditions on the ground, taking into account community interest, the risk of overlap with other organizations, and the availability of spare parts for future repairs. Once the final location was determined, water point management training began, and construction materials were transported to the site.
The team at Nylon would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed. Access to clean water is often taken for granted in this part of the world, but underprivileged communities rely on help from external beneficiaries due to the lack of infrastructural systems. These systems require proper planning and implementation to come to fruition. We will continue to champion such causes and do good whenever we can.
