Introducing the new mini Porlex coffee grinder II. The new enhanced coffee grinder brings out the best in innovation of Japanese made products. With a long history in manufacturing ceramic burrs for spice and tea mills, Porlex coffee grinders have withstand the influx of competition (and counterfeit) in the hand grinders market by focusing on the quality of its burr sets. They do not sell their burr sets to other brands of grinder manufacturers and all the production of the burrs and assembly work is still done in Kagoshima.

We have been the exclusive distributor of Porlex coffee grinders in Singapore for many years. The longstanding relationship with Porlex is built on the trust and transparency in their company ethos. Despite the increasing cost of production, Porlex has persisted to keep control of the whole manufacturing process in Japan.

In the beginning of 2020, Porlex released the Porlex coffee grinder II. The new version is still as handy and easy to use, but it comes equipped with some enhanced features:

• The new model can produce 1.3 times more coffee grounds with the same number of handle rotations in comparison with the previous version. 1.3x more efficient!

• Sharper burr set makes grinding easier and faster!

• Improved quality of the materials used to manufacture the burr sets to increase precision and durability. Emphasis was placed on granularity consistency for medium/coarse grind sizes.

• Enhanced grind size granularity adjustment. Each click adjustment will change the grind size by an average of 37 microns (previous model is average 80 microns)

• The new adjusting nut allows one to place the top part of the grinder to stand upright on its own. No risk of the top part rolling off the surface after grinding.

• Handle rotation is more stable and smoother. The grinding routine becomes more therapeutic and enjoyable!

The new mini Porlex coffee grinder II will be a great and valuable addition to any home brewers or those who are consistently on the go. For existing customers who are using version I, the new parts (outer, inner burrs and inner burr base and adjusting nut) are compatible with the previous model, but the effectiveness will not be as good as a complete new set. If you feel the burrs are blunt and the grind size is no longer as consistent as it used to be, you can simply purchase the burr replacements on our webshop. Our burr replacements are based on the newer version II.
