El Sendero Cooperative started in 2018, being formally established in March of 2018, with 13 founders - comprising both men and women. There are 635 members now.

The cooperative built up a new warehouse in 2023 where they have installed a cupping lab. Their goal is to be able to trace back to the producers delivering their coffee to map the quality. General manager Pablo Vasquez and warehouse manager Diego Cardona ensure a high level of quality control on the coffee produced.

The cooperative manages the resources to find technical support from organizations that can benefit the producers, such as technicians, agronomists and soil analysis.

This lot comes from one of the cooperative members, Juan Ramirez, where his coffee consisting of the Caturra variety was separated out from the other members after we cupped his coffee. We really enjoy the richness of the vibrant red fruit tones that comes through in the cup, balanced by sweetness that lets you enjoy the cup from hot to cold.
